Dear All, I never stop being surprised that people who are having problems being or staying married want as spiritual advisers people who have the same problems.  Wouldn’t priests be more insightful and sympathetic to the stresses on married folk and families if they were married, too?

Dear All, In a recent press conference, Pope Francis stated that he had no desire to appear before God as the pope who had abolished the requirement of celibacy for Catholic priests.  You can imagine that this examination of the papal conscience met with groans, shrieks and howls in certain corners of the Church. 

Dear All, Recently an op-ed piece in a local journal suggested that the Constitution of the United States calls for the separation of religion and politics.  I would like to take exception to that – not as a citizen, but as a religious thinker and a preacher.
