Dear All, I hope that the very, very bright young clergyman with whom I had dinner last week does not think that he wasted his evening on my hard head. He offered me an idea that I had not run into before and, like every intellectual snob, I resisted the idea that someone knew something that I did not.
Dear All, Apart from some sort of miracle, the human ‘spirit/soul’ is deaf, dumb and blind apart from the ‘body’ and the ‘body’ apart from the ‘spirit/soul’ is inert. Despite all sort of ‘spiritual’ nonsense to the contrary, death confers no benefit upon soul; nor the body any burden.
